Counseling Focus/Interest: To provide short-term or long term counseling to students in need. Issues can span from the interpersonal to environmental. I offer academic, individual, couples, and family counseling especially for those students struggling with the expectations of family life and the realities of academia.
Professional Experience: Following my M.S.S.W. in 1998 I began my social work career in an outpatient mental health clinic in Washington Heights where I primarily provided mental health services for newly immigrated, Spanish speaking Latino clients. For the last 6 ½ years prior to coming to QCC I worked in an outpatient mental health clinic in Jamaica, Queens with a focus on providing clinical services for children, adolescents, and their families. Two years ago I began psychoanalytic training at NPAP (National Psychoanalytic Association for Psychoanalysis), and hope to complete my certification as an analyst in about 6 years.

Other Interests: Spending time with friends, family, my Chihuahuas (Lana and Attila), reading, watching television, and baking.
