Meet Your Counselors

Degrees: B.S. in Business at Suny Albany,
M.A. in General Psychology at Queens College,
Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology

Counseling Interest: Provide short-term and long-term personal counseling to people suffering from an array of symptoms including anxiety, depression, and anger management. Discuss both academic/career issues and personal issues with students in a safe, supportive environment. Individual, couples, and group counseling available as necessitated by the situation.

Counseling Approach: A psychodynamic therapeutic approach is very effective in that it facilitates the exploration of one’s patterns of behavior, some of which may be self destructive, as well as their origin. The self discovery process is a healing one when a person gets in touch with formerly cut off areas of oneself (emotions, thoughts, memories), gains an understanding of the purpose and origin of their behaviors and perceptions, and finally, is open to change and living in healthier ways.

Other Interests: Traveling, outdoor activities (hiking, camping), reading, movies
