Overview: Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports.
Degree(s): A.A.S. Office Administration and Technology: Administrative Secretary 
A.A.S. Office Administration and Technology: Office Technology: Word/Information Processing 
Job Outlook: Employment of warehouse stock clerks is expected to grow as fast as average through 2018. Best opportunities will be in grocery, general merchandise, clothing and department stores.
Education Level: The typical training required for this career is generally a High School Degree or GED Certificate.

  • Talking, giving speeches, or speaking in a group to convey information, explain ideas, or give instructions.
  • Using mathematics and/or statistics to solve problems.
  • Paying attention to what other people are saying, and taking time to understand the points being made.
