May purchase janitorial supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.|

|Job Outlook:||Employment of janitorial supervisors is expected to grow slower than average through 2018 following the decrease in janitors due to the slowing pace of new construction.|
