Overview: Compose music for orchestra, choral group, or band.
Degree(s): A.A.S. Music Production 
Job Outlook: Employment of composer is expected to grow as fast as average through 2018. Competition in the music business is very tough and many opportunities will arise as people leave the business for other occupations. Best opportunities are in religious music.
Education Level: Typically, a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college (some are 5 years) is required to be considered for this occupation.

  • Dance, drama, music, that is, things that are performed in front of an audience.
