Electrical Drafter

Overview: Develop specifications and instructions for installation of voltage transformers, overhead or underground cables, and related electrical equipment used to conduct electrical energy from transmission lines or high-voltage distribution lines to consumers.
Duties:
Degree(s): A.A.S. Electronic Engineering Technology 
Job Outlook: Employment of electrical drafters is expected to show little or no change through 2018 due to advances in technology and foreign competition.
Education Level: Typically, a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college (some are 5 years) is required to be considered for this occupation.
