Sales Managers

Overview: Direct the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.

A.A.S. Management: Marketing Concentration 
A.S. Business Administration (Accounting and Marketing) 
Job Outlook: Employment of sales representatives (agricultural products)is expected to grow as fast as average through 2018 as a result from the continued expansion in the variety and number of agricultural products. Because they play an important role in the transfer of goods between organizations, sales representatives will be needed to accommodate this expansion. In addition sales representatives can help ensure that retailers offer the latest products to their customers.
Education Level: Typically, a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college (some are 5 years) is required to be considered for this occupation.
