Training and Development Manager
|Overview:||They plan, coordinate and direct personnel training and staff development programs so that the work office has skills needed to meet the organization's goals. They plan and implement customer training programs designed to teach customers about the organization's products and services.|
|Duties:||They identify the organization's training program needs by comparing employees' present skills and knowledge with those needed to meet the organization's objectives.
They decide upon training content, the appropriate employees to be trained, the training methods, schedules and techniques to assess training effectiveness.
They develop ongoing management development programs to assure the organization has adequate managerial talent pool to draw upon for staffing vacant management positions.
They contract with universities, training institutes and consultants to provide technical and professional courses.

|Job Outlook:||Employment of education and training administrator is expected to grow faster than average through 2018 especially in training customers, individual and businesss in new technology. Organizations will need employee training to meet new regulations and to keep their skills up to date to support their mission.|
|Salary Range (National Average):||$32,000 to $38,000|
|Education Level:||Typically, a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college (some are 5 years) is required to be considered for this occupation.|
|Additional Training/Education:||Education and training administrators generally require a bachelor's degree and often a master's degree in education or human resource management. Courses in educational administration and research, labor law, psychology, statistics and computer applications are very essential.|
