The Office of Career Services assists students and alumni in their professional development by educating them about the job search process through workshops and one-to-one conferences. The staff assists students with the preparation of resumes and cover letters, and helps develop interviewing and networking skills. The Office sponsors a Job Fair once a year and coordinates on-campus recruitment activities by business and non-profit organizations with the departments of the College.
What We Do:
- Post full-time and part-time job opportunities for students and alumni
- Coordinate on campus recruitment activities by business and non-profit organizations
- Prepare students and alumni for on-campus and off-campus interviewing opportunities through assistance with resume writing, cover letters and presentation skills
- Advise students about worthwhile internships
- Present job fairs where 50 or more organizations come to campus to interview and inform students about career opportunities
- Maintain a resume bank to match student/alumni skills with the needs of employers
- Educate students about the job search process and labor market trends through workshops and seminars
Internship Resources An Internship Coordinator assists students seeking career-related work experience opportunities, i.e. internships, summer employment or volunteer work before graduation. The most current internship opportunities are located in L-420. View the location, hours and phone number.
