Coordinated Undergraduate Education

Welcome

The Queensborough Community College Honors Program is an academic program that provides an enriched classroom experience to students who have demonstrated high academic achievement and motivation. Through courses offered only to honors students, specially arranged independent studies, and activities that celebrate the rich cultural diversity of New York City, honors students have the opportunity to expand their knowledge, distinguish themselves, and make a contribution to the intellectual and cultural life of the Queensborough campus.

Honors students take a combination of honors and non-honors classes. To graduate as an honors student, students are required to complete successfully a minimum of 12 honors credits (earned through honors classes as well as honors contracts with individual professors) and have earned an overall GPA of 3.40. Transfer credits are not included. No special or extra fees or costs are required to register for honors classes.

We welcome your questions and comments about the Honors Program at Queensborough Community College.
