Wed. 11/17/10 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm S- 112 Second Language Acquisition Colloquium “Teaching Speech to English Language Learners” Guest Presenter: Dr. Martin Gitterman Prof. Emeritus, Lehman College and The Graduate Center , CUNY Refreshments will be provided This presentation will focus on teaching various aspects of oral communication to adult English language learners. Particular emphasis will be placed on pronunciation improvement. The teaching of pronunciation will be discussed in the context of theory; Public speaking and group discussion activities will also be discussed.
