The section on "Theory to Practice" features shorter articles less than 2,500 words in length

This site is a clearinghouse of journal listings. The majority of the descriptions provided through this site are based on information found in individual journals or on their associated Web sites.
Journal of Teaching Writing
 
Articles may range in length from short descriptions (10–15 pages) of principles or practices that offer helpful insights to longer pieces (15–20 pages) that explore topics in greater detail. All articles should have a clear philosophical or theoretical basis.

CCC College Composition and Communication (CCC)

Submit articles in whatever genre and format best fits your purposes, and to use alternate genres and formats if they best express your meanings; similarly, the use of endnotes and subheadings should align with your purposes and meanings. Most articles in CCC run between 4,000 and 7,000 words (or approximately 16–28 double-spaced pages), though articles may be shorter or longer in line with your purposes.
