Grant Opportunities

Application guidelines for CUNY's Diversity Projects Development Fund grant program.

Established by the University Affirmative Action Committee and the Vice Chancellor for Faculty and Staff Relations, the Diversity Projects Development Fund supports scholarly research projects and other activities for or about under-represented populations within academia. The Fund was designed to promote the development of educational projects, scholarly research, creative endeavors, and professional activities that treat diversity, multiculturalism, and non-discrimination. 

The Fund supports proposals in the following areas:

· collaborative research proposals within academic departments and between disciplines and institutions within CUNY;

· programs that promote the participation of diverse populations in academic disciplines in which they are traditionally under-represented;

· seminars, workshops, educational activities or scholarly research related to diversity and/or multiculturalism; and

· programs that incorporate the results of research projects on under-represented groups into the general curriculum

In this funding cycle, applications are due on November 3, 2006 for a project period beginning on January 1, 2007. Awards will not exceed $5,000.  Additional information and proposal guidelines are provided in the attached document.
