Book Voucher Policy
In order to use the Book Voucher Program all students must have a current Bursar's receipt, a valid Queensborough Community College ID card, and have a Pell balance on record. Students can spend a maximum of $450.00 per semester (Fall and Spring) to purchase needed books and supplies. If for any reason the amount of your book voucher is not deducted from your Pell check, you will owe the Bursar for the items you charge. You can use the book voucher credit only at this college's bookstore. If another bookstore offers a better price for books, you will not incur any penalty if you choose not to use our book voucher program. NOTE: The bookstore is an independent business entity, and has no affiliation with the Bursar or Office of Student Financial Services.
Book voucher credit purchases must consist only of course-related items. This excludes clothing, jewelry, fancy pens, gift items, tobacco, snacks, greeting cards, prerecorded tapes, records/CDs and video games/gaming systems. You may purchase bookbags costing up to $40.00. The books you purchase must include only those books that you -NOT your friend- need for the current term. Your responsibility consists of knowing what books you need for your own classes. We recommend that you go to all your classes before you purchase your books.
Should you need to return an item purchased through this program, you must bring your receipt and return the item to the bookstore in an unmarked condition, within the book voucher period. Returns books/items will not be accepted after the dated posted by the bookstore. No cash refunds will be issued. Students will receive credit to their Pell account for the price of the returned books and other course-related items.
Book Voucher Rules
- All eligible students must have:
- A valid Queensborough Community College ID
- A current Bursar's receipt (Bill)

- Returns will not be accepted after date posted by the bookstore
- Maximum Book Voucher limit is $450.00 per semester (Fall and Spring only)
- No cash refunds.
