What to Bring to the Exam

Making sure you have everything you need to take the test can help you feel more relaxed--both on the way to QCC and in the testing room itself. If you will take the Compass Reading Skills Test through a Basic Educational Skills class (NOT a BSLC workshop), follow the directions of your teacher.

If you will take the COMPASS Reading Skills test through enrollment in a Basic Skills Learning Center Reading Intervention Workshop, follow these directions:

After completing 20 hours of a Reading Intervention Workshop, make sure to:

• Schedule an appointment with the Computer Testing Center by calling 718-281-5707.
• Bring a valid QCC ID card. NO student will be permitted to enter the testing area without proper identification!
• Bring a completed Blue Reading Workshop Intervention Card. In order to qualify for a retest, Workshop students must attend all 20 hours of reading intervention.
