Special Projects

  • Developed special learning styles responsive materials for our department’s Learning Center to assist our students in passing the ACT writing and reading tests.
  • Active participant in Queensborough Community College’s Circle of Writers.
  • Assist doctoral candidates in writing their dissertation manuscripts.

Special Courses

  • Since 1999, have taught the ESL Express, a course during which students take BE-203 and BE-205 in one semester. Participated in a learning community with Dr. Emily Tai that linked BE205 (ESL advanced composition) with BE-226 (ESL advanced reading) and History 111 (medieval history). 
  • Learning Community that linked ESL Reading and Writing to History 111.

Community Service

  • Participates in doctoral candidates’ mock oral dissertation presentations at St. John’s University.
  • Acts as a member of doctoral committees at St. John’s University
  • Assists doctoral students in the design and development of their dissertations and presentations at St John’s University.
