24 Teams raised over $22,000 for the 3rd Annual Walk to Aspire for Queensborough scholarships

This year we are awarding cash prizes for the following:
$1000 - The Team that raises the Most Scholarship Money
$ 500 - The Team with the Most Innovative Fundraising Strategy
$ 100 - The Individual who raises the Most Scholarship Money
IMPORTANT DATES
September 9
First Club Day – 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. - find out what your department or clubs are doing to form a team for the Walk
September 16
Kickoff for the 2008 Walk – all Team Leaders come to Room S-111 at 2:00 p.m. to pick up their packet of materials for their team
September 17 through October 1
Teams in formation and fundraising begins
October 2
Team Registration Form is DUE. List the NAME of your Team so that you can qualify for Online Contributions. This is also the First Collection Date. Place the Registration Form in your Team Collection Envelope and deliver with your first collection to Yasmin Jewnandan in Room A-508
November 16
Final collection date – all funds must be submitted by this date to qualify for prizes at the Walk
November 18
The Walk to Aspire Celebration – 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on the QCC Track – 2 mile walk – 8 times around the track. In case of rain, it will take place in the RFK – Gym
WIN A PRIZE
You will be able to post your fundraising ideas to the Walk to Aspire web site. The team that comes up with the most innovative idea, how it was implemented and its success will be awarded the $500 prize! Each idea must be explained as to plan, execution and results – number of donors and dollars raised.

Club Day – September 9 – Get information on who is forming a Team
Kickoff Meeting – September 16 – All Team Leaders and those who want to form a Team come to pick up your instruction packet
