Important Note: The Queensborough workshop series welcomes all CUNY faculty (adjuncts included) with the understanding that if there are more requests than seats, the policy will be that Queensborough faculty will have priority.

Microsoft Office 2007 Overview

Description:  – During this workshop you will be introduced to the NEW Microsoft Office 2007 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Who should attend: This is NOT a beginner workshop; rather it is designed for those already using Microsoft Office on a regular basis.

 

IMPORTANT Note: After taking this workshop you become eligible to have Office 2007 installed on your office computer. Please make an appointment with the IT Department (x6273) after completing this workshop.

Podcasting

Description: A term that is a melding of "iPod" and "broadcast," Podcasting is a way to create audio (and more recently video) programs to which you or your students can listen while sitting at a computer, or on the go with an iPod or other portable player. During this workshop you will learn how to choose and subscribe to Podcasts, and you will create your own Podcast using Camtasia.

Who should attend: Anyone wishing to use Podcasting as a teaching tool, or those who simply want to learn more about this burgeoning technology.

ePortfolios with Epsilen

Description:   Learn to set up and use ePortfolios with your classes. This workshop is designed to introduce you to one method of implementing electronic portfolios. During the workshop you will create your own ePortfolio, and begin learning how to work within the Epsilen environment.

Who should attend: Anyone interested in having their students use ePortfolios
