Honors Scholars Program

The Honors Scholars Program at Queensborough has been widely acclaimed by students. Honors classes are usually small in size and provide an excellent opportunity for a one to one contact between the student and the instructor. Honors contracts for individual students provide them the opportunity to go beyond the normal class requirements usually working one-on-one with the instructor.  Registration in any honors class or entering into an honors contract requires a minimum GPA of 3.40 or a reference letter from an instructor. The honors class schedule for the upcoming semester is available or contact your instructor during the first week of class to complete an honors contract (PDF).

Honors students in Chemistry have made presentations at the American Chemical Society (ACS)- New York section Undergraduate Research Symposium. More poster presentations by our students have been made at the National ACS Meetings, the Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting as well as other national and international conferences.

Honors students in Business have competed in the Federal Reserve Bank’s Collegiate Fed Challenge and in the collegiate Mock Trial competition.
