Welcome Back: Your Future Summit

On Wednesday, February 27th ASAP proudly presented “Welcome Back: Your Future Summit”. The day was filled with food, friendly competition, and valuable information.

At the start of the presentation, the ASAP Director Bobbi Brauer introduced the newest members to the students. This included the new Job Developer, Jonathan Daniels, new Student Manager, Melissa Schwartz, and the new Student Manager Coordinator, Brian Williams. Student Managers Rosanna Fernandez and Danielle Izzo gave brief presentations as well.

Mr. Daniels went on to explain the different types of work skills, and how to get them across in a resume. He also explained what kinds of skills employers are generally looking for. A mini-competition was used to test the students understanding, and had everyone involved. Next were the mock interviews where students had a chance to test their interviewing skills. The day was completed with a delicious lunch and a questionnaire to help gauge the employment needs of our students.
